Had to replace the front outer boot on my new 750. I got the CV off per the instruction manual (by tapping it off). I replaced the boot and added the new circlip. When I go to tap the cv back on the clip pushes off it specified indention and on to the splines. It is starting to mess up the splines, ofcourse. Is there anything that I'm missing?

Thanks,
Michael

Squeeze the clip together some and try again.  Also, when you're pushing the cv back on you can pry the clip into the groove with a small flat-head screwdriver.

Thanks for the tips!

I'm away at college, my dad was working on it and got frustrated so he quit. Then my mom wondered out there and 10 min later it was done. lol
