Well what I do is not exactly maintenance either cause all I do is clean my quads. Why you think it is so clean? LOL

well solitude when u do maintenance u go all out that is for sure and no denying with it apart it gives u a full view of anything that may be wrong.  I take somethings off but nothing like u do as I have a hard time after it is apart to stay focussed putting it back together.  Taking it apart does not take long it is the putting it back together for me that is a slower process.

Heres a list of the stuff Ive done and have been doing when I tear it apart like this.

Change Engine Oil
Change Diff Oils
Clean Front Diff
Change Diff Seals
Grease all Connections, and Shafts
Seal Display
Re-Wire/Conduit all Wires
Secure all wires away from sight
Change Brakes
Change Wheel Bearings
Clean Air Filter
Change/Grease Spark Plug
Change Radiator Fluid
Check Snorkles
Check Vent Lines
Clean Gas Tank
Clean Pull Start and Seal
Grease Shifter
Also Im going to go ahead and Powdercoat my Rack.. Thinking between Electric Blue-Red-Black
Clean and Seal HMF
Clean and Paint Header

Thats about all I can think of now. Like I said I ride Mud/Water obviously and to get it goig and stay going I do this about every 3 Months. Just gives me something to do on something I love and have a good peice of mind when Im riding. No greater feeling then getting on one after doing a overhaul and knowing everything is perfect!

Solitude,

I was trying to remove my front plastics today to do some MODs and clean up such as yourself. First time I have tried to do this. I'm having trouble with the 12v outlet. I can't seem to get the wires to pull out of the back. Is there any special technique to do this?

Yeah, I took that screw out. SHould it just pull strait out with the screw gone? I'll try grabbing it with some needle nose pliers, I just didn't want to do that till I confirmed with someone that it just pulls strait out.

Solitude-Header, huh? I have been looking for a complete (header and pipe) exhaust system for my wheels, but have had no luck. Tell me about your header-is it custom made or are they available somewhere I haven't looked? Thanks for all the info bro. MB

Ok the 12V Plug is tricky cause it doesnt unplug from where it looks. I broke mine trying to get it undone where it doesnt come undun. Its just a small plug in the back. Kinda tricky but go back just a little farther on the plug and pull out and itll some off easy.

MuddyBrat - Nothing custom about my header I just dont like mud built up and baked on so I take it off sometimes and power wash it or sand plast off all the mud and paint it with some High Temp Spray Paint. Keeps the mud for a while.

You need to drain the fluid from the bottom. There is a bolt down there you can undo just like the oil and rear diff.
