well got rid of my new ss212's today, i traded them for some 14' ss112's. here's my new idea, what if i have them sand blasted and painted solid black? because you cant buy the 112 in solid black (at least i dont think you can). do yall think it would look good? im gonna buy all black plastics for my bike, and i thought some black ss112's wraped with some 28 inch zillas would look bad a**. what yall think?

Hvae them powder coated black  will last for a very long time and you can get it done in a flat, satin or a wrinkle finish. those wheels are going to end up on mine one day they look badd..

he is mine powder coated black with a wrinkle finish not ss212s though, i had everything that is black on my quad powder coated with the black wrinkle finish, it has the same texture as the black plastic parts on my AC so it matches that real good

the wrinkle finish, what exactly does that mean? not to sure when it comes down to powder coating. and would it cost alot more to do that than just paint and clear them at a body shop?

cost me $90 to have all 4 done and that was alittle high the first set they did for $60 last year.  the wrinkle finish is like a texture. my plastics (the black peices) have the same texture to them and if i remember right the black fender flares like on a rancher have the same texture to them.

I do powder coating work. I can tell you it is a pain in the a$$. Did he sand blast the wheels and coat em for $90.00? If so that is a heck of a deal.  I would not do it for no less than $ 150.00. GWC your bike sure looks good though!

Yeap they sand blast them then bake them then paint them then bake again. all for $90. they do real good work they did all my stuff thats black and i only found one spot on one of the a-arms that was a bad spot and you cant even see it on the bike..
that powder coating is very tuff and worth it i think mud/rocks have yet to scratch them.

Yea powder coat is some tough stuff but when it chips it looks like ****! All it is really is a plastic coating. I need a bigger oven so I can do street bike frames. LATER....Jessie
