ORIGINAL: BUSHHOG No doubt that is correct about them selling a bunch. But ask yourself this, why do all the others have proper gearing but the Big Red. It's not only about big tires, it's about pulling up steep grades in the mountains, plowing deep snow with a huge heavy 60" blade, finding traction on ice with the locker but no low range to help, it's about not getting stuck in the woods, going down the pipeline/highline, checking remote oil locations to be drilled, goose and duck hunters in rice fields or flooded timber, countless commercial applications and on and on. No low range on this tank size unit hurts it's flexibility and capibility. Noboby would not buy it with low range available, but more people would in fact buy it if it had low range. The price difference would be minimal. Just so you know, I really like the Big Red, like it a bunch. However, lack of low range is beyond my ability to understand and has zero to do with big tires. A lot of people and companies won't buy the Big Red for that simple fact. Yeah I really think honda burned alot of bridges with all the Rincon owners that paid top dollar for those bikes a few years back, only to pay a few more thousand in motor enhancements only to still have a "not up to snuff" mud bike.
