Need a good website with cheap OEM parts and a parts fiche.  I have a big bear i'm fixing for a friend of mine and I need to order a few things for it.

Also trying to find out what year it is.  I'm not a yamaha man so I'm kinda unfamiliar.  It has 2 headlights in the middle with a double bar in front of them, it also has a high and low shifter, 4x4, has TCD across the front skidplate.  I think its a early 90's model.  Any help is appreciated!

ebay is your best friend on the old bears. i buy my yammi parts for powerpartsplus  if i cant find it on ebay cheaper.

if you find the vin on there. you will be able to tell what year it is.

but your right its probably a early 90s model.

Another thing, I got it to crank but its revving really high.  I turned down the idle but nothing changed.  I'm working on it right now without an air filter or anything on it, I dont think that matters but maybe it does???   The choke is pushed in, could it be stuck interally??  Or maybe its the throttle cable??  I took the carb off a few months back and cleaned it because it had been sitting for years.  I dont remember taking the throttle cable loose but maybe.  Any ideas?

take off the cover where the throttle comes in and make sure the throttle is returning to the stop(the idle set screw.) a lot of times.  there is trash in there or in the spring mechanism keeping it to return to idle. clean it out and lube it up(the spring mech). lol

hope this make since.

Also, check our MR Cycles.  That is where I get most of my OEM parts.
