as just about all bigbear awners my rear diff seal is leaking, last time it was leaking on the rear side dead in the center and they fixed it under warranty, yesterday i noticed its leaking pretty bad where the drive shaft goes into the diff  does anyone know if yamaha ever manned up and recalled this problem and which seal exactly could it be thats leaking? thanks for any help guys

ive heard the 07s leak quite a bit and they somewhat fixed it in the 08s and i am hoping its totally fixed in the 09s, you may try to cross ref numbers and see if anything changed from 07 to 08 and possibly into the 09s in the rear diff

My BB is an 08 and I've got a little over 100 miles on mine with no issues, not a lot in the grand scheme of things but a good bit for getting in under 2 months.

My fronts leak because there's not any axles in them.  My right rear is leaking probably from that **** night I had a few weeks back when I broke two front axles and shredded a rear CV.  It was nastiness.  Other than that no problems.

I've gone through 4 rear seals on my 07 in 1000 miles and its stock. My warranty is up but my dealer keeps replacing the seal for free.

there will likely not be a recall on these.  i've had a few dealers and yamaha employees tell me they won't recall anything unless it's a life-safety issue.  they may warranty it but good luck with that.  my diff also leaks where the driveshaft enters the diff but i'm just letting it leak.
