I dont think  pam is good for the plastic, i know WD-40 is not good for it either.
I use Tire foam or tire wet just what ever is one sale, i also think baby oil works real well to.

Plastic is already faded from mud riding so not that concerned with that because only use on certain rides where Gumbo Mud is!!!  With that not be a issue is will pam work to help clean the mud off???

Hey duckman06, Did Merango eat your pam off? I used son of a gun tire foam. It worked ok. Have used pledge before, it might be better. Wife just gets upset when she finds the can empty!   Later, kodiax

So before you go out to ride you just spray the entire bike with Liquid Wrench silicone spray? I just waxed mine yesterday and it's smooth as a babys bottom but I want the mud to just fall off when I spray it.

I use a dressing on all my race bikes, after a race it just beads up & runs off like wax, & what I really like about it is that it is silicone based so spray it on all your cv boots & it keeps then soft!!! I buy it in bulk from a local distributor & I can get yall some of it if you need!! For detailing a bike I use a degreaser that is paint & plastic safe, all you do is rinse off all the big pieces of mud then spray the degreaser everywhere then rinse it right off no scrubing needed!!! The dressing is kinda expensive being about $20 for a gallon but it last for a long time b/c you only have to use a few ounces on the whole bike & the degreaser is about $15 but it makes between 4-5 gallons!!! By far the best stuff I have ever used!!!

I used Son of a Gun this past weekend and it was so-so. The mud came off a lot easier than last time but I still had to scrub it down. And on top of that, I had waxed my bike beforehand so it was slick as can be. The water beaded right off, but the mud just wasn't coming off. Time to look for a new product.

I spray on a spray on tire shine like Black Magic Tire Foam on everything under my atv. I would keep it of the engine if possible. Makes hoses and plastic look shiny and new and makes it hard for mud to stick next ride. I got my buddies using it lately and they said it works pretty well also.
