I keep my bike in a friends fathers warehouse, and without me knowing another friend used my bike and broke my belt.  Yes, I know it's b/s and I'm not happy, but he tryed fixing it without me knowing.   I dont know how he broke it, but he put a Delco belt on and I know the only belt to use with a Can-Am is the stock one.  What am I loosing???  gaining???  any imput would be nice.

even if he told me i would still rattle that noggin a lil or atleast give him a good cussin. the belt may work ok for ya. it really just depends how you ride smart or dumb. it may last just probably not as long as the stock belt. i would ride it until it broke again then have him buy the stock belt that should have originally been bought.

yeah we would be having a talk about exactly how the belt got burnt up and if it was me i would make him buy you a new oem belt now and keep the dayco for not bashing his skull in. your not loosing anything performance wise just longevity really

i would be more concerned on what he did to break the belt and the further damage its done that could lead to other broken parts sooner than later.

I can tell you i know how steed805 rode this thing and thats why the belt was worn out...sunk it one time and always doin wheelies and wantin to go 70mph...when we got the rest of the old belt out it was like dry rotted you could just peel it apart like nothin

The HL belts are fine.  They have a slightly harder rubber compound than stock belts so be sure to check the shelf life and buy from someone that moves belts often.  Stocks are better, but you'll be fine with the HL belt.
