Honestly there is not a whole lot of difference whether you buy a kit or build your own other than price, a kit is going to come in pieces just like it would if you built your own. The only upside is you wont have to go through the hassle of gathering up all the pieces and the Bayou kit comes black which gives it a clean look. If you build your own your probably going to use white PVC which in my opinion sticks out like a sore thumb and paint will only chip off over time.

Highlifter doesn't have a kit out for a Vinson yet? I thought you were trying to sell him the directions for a kit you bought.

It will cost you about 350 installed. And you will have to make an appointment. Only reason i know this is because a freind of mine is wanting to get his 04 sportsman done and it will have to be a custom job. Look at it this way , It will be done right by people that do it everyday and take pride in there work.

Is it worth the money........ I don't think so because you could do just a good of job yourself. Snorkaling a bike is not hard. When you do it for the first time you wont believe that you were going to pay someone to do it. There are plenty of write ups in the suzuki section on how to snorkal vinsons. Do a search and check it out. $60 vs $350. Thats a big gap my friend. To each his own though. Best of luck to ya!

This is how this guy makes his living and you have ppl that buy his kit and trun around and try to sell his directions! I think its B.S. Bayou Snorkels is the only way to go!

I have watched Brian (owner of Bayou Snorkels) snorkel bikes before and he does take pride in his work and he does an excellent job at making sure everything is perfect...

I can tell you this, I was one of the first customers of Bayou Snorkels and bought one of the very first Brute snorkels. I have nothing but good things to say about them and their customer service. They are top notch people!!!

its not hard to snorkel a bike if you take your time and pride in your work you could do it for more than 1/2 the price.. and bayou is in this to make money so taking 5 or 6 hrs to snorkel a bike and do it right for $400 is nothing take your car to the shop and have some work done i bet you come out with alot more than $400..if you dont feel comfortable doing it then take it to him just my .02

5 or 6 hrs and half of 400 bucks...NO MAN!!! Once you have your snorkel mapped out in your head, it should not take but about an hour or so to build.  When i snorkeled my Bear i used black abs everywhere but where it was routed on side of the engine.  The abs is light and comes black...with all materials my snorkel only coasted me 30 bucks!!
