Does anyone have install pics of their Bayou snorkel for the brute force 750i

I am considering buying a kit soon and am curious if people are liking them and how complicated it was to get the machine running right after the install (rejetting?)

Anyone know what the material is and what type of sealant they use to connect the pipes / parts?

Thanks

for about $150 less you can build the same thing for yourself and have satisfaction of saying you have "custom" snorkals. LOL mudinmyblood.com will set you up man. Don't waste your money!

yea, i've been over to mimb a couple times and read the tutorial they have for the BF snorkel. Just figured it would be safer with a premade kit?
I've got a few buds with custom snorks and their always messin with them, replacing / fixin somthing.

I dont see on the mimb turtorial where it says what kind of sealant to use on the fittings and what paint do you guys use to paint the PVC?

thanks!

Use PVC glue and use silicone around that. If your buddies are always "working" on theirs I wouldn't ask them for help! For paint I used bed liner in a spray can. Use whatever the heck you want to.

not if you use a 3" 90 on the air box.

Nice, does your air intake face front or back towards you while riding? also what do you have coming after the 3" 90, p-trap?

must be more cutting involved with the 3"   ?

Nope no more cutting involved other than trimming the ends off the 3" 90. Yup the ptrap is next just like the instructions say and the intake should face back otherwise when you go wide open into that hole you get mucho water into your airbox.

Is just the 90 a 3" or is the p-trap and all the pvc after that also 3"

Forgive my newness

What ends have to be trimmed on the 3" 90?

heres some pics of mine that i did last week. i followed the MIMB stuff but changed it up for the better.

i used that 3" 90 but trim a lot off of it to get it to go down betwwen the steering stem and the hoop to have less bends and restrictions and lees overall pipe

i also bought the belt exhaust boot for a V-Force and used it here

............. you just answered your own question! LOL You still use 2" PVC after the 90. There is already a thread about this very thing going on. ALMOST30s has some pics I am sure he will post. Check out the other thread.

nice, your pics look a bit different than mimb tutorial, looks like you have 3" rubber 90 out of the box, then a 2" pvc 90, then 2" 45? then straight 2" to the top? maybe

Im going to model my install off yours, your bike looks very similar to mine. just one year newer

where can i get a good deal on a v force exhaust cover?

awesome pics, thanks for the answers.

yea a 3" rubber 90, then a 2" 90, then a 2" street 45, then 2" pipe

i had to lay a piece of rubber across the 3" piece and ziptie it on cause it was up against the steering stem clamp bolt. you can see it in the picture

then the belt exhaust boot has a 2 1/2" hole to hook up to so i got a 2" coupling which was a good tight fit into the exhaust boot, then 2" straight pipe, the a 2" 90 (which actually came off a P-Trap, but you can use any 90), then a 2" Long 90, then another 2" 90 off a p-trap, then straight up

i cant figure out where i ordered mine from but you could go to the dealer or this place i found for you
http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/9/Kawasaki.aspx

part # 14073B looks to be the right one

yeah ABS. Do you have a home depot or any other kind of store that would sell PVC?

don't worry, i'll be there next weekend to tow you out at 5A   robbie said your pops was worried about your warranty with the snorkel.  how much longer you got on the extended warranty?  here's better pics of what robbie showed you the other day:

Yea, he bought the extended 3 year warranty, good for a little over 1 more year. prior to me owning the bike, he had them do all the regular maintainance on it. they replaced a CV joint on the right rear for free and I think the left rear is gonna go pretty soon so Im tryin to keep the warranty good.

Snorkels obviously void the warranty

Dont know if you've seen the pictures of fat boy sinking his renegade in moose pond last time we were out but you can bet I wont be tryin the same.

snorkels don't have any effect on the CV joints, so technically they couldn't deny you warranty service because of them.  but it can be a PITA dealing with some dealerships when it comes to warranty work and modifications.

i haven't seen the pics or video yet.  robbie said all you can see in the pics is his head and tires sticking out of the water?!  post some of them on here.  heck, load the video on youtube

I know 90% of the snorkeled Brutes on here use MIMB home mades but has anyone here ever ordered or installed a pre-fabricated kit????

ie....bayou, t raingle ATV ??

Im wondering what the material is made of and what it looks like out of the box. do they still have to be glued and assembled and what connection do they use for the cvt exhaust. v force???

are they really that much better than custom home mades?

thanks

They are identical to what the "homemade" kits are. Why do you think there are no returns. You get them and are like what the crap I could have made this myself. Save you money and make one on your own. You will feel better about it and have more bragging rights.
