Buddy has a BF750 and we have been messin with it all day. It idles fine and full trottle fine but at half trottle or less it back fires and sputters really bad. It also does this when you let off the gas.

We pulled the carbs and cleaned them, checked the spark plugs, switched out CDI's, and drained gas and replaced with fresh.

Almost acts like my grizz when a rev limiter is stuck but it will rev out fine.

Can anyone help???

If it's older than an 08 than it's probably rich on the needle especially if you just added snorkels. That's usually where it gets rich after snorks.

It has a snorkle but it's been running fine, sat for about a month pulled it out and it ran like this. but i've never known a bike running rich ti miss and backfire??

If it's a 05-07 model the choke may be stuck open.

that has happened before and we pulled them again when we cleaned the carbs. this thing is makin no since to me.

it acts and sounds just like a rev limiter but will rev out fully and doesn't miss at full trottle
