I have an 08 700 Grizzly and the left axle is making a popping noise. You can move the axle up and down and also in and out. So I took it to the dealer today to have it looked at the they told me that all of them do that. The rightside does not do this just the left. They told me have a new one on the show room floor and it does it also. I want to see if that was ture or just a bunch  BS. Took there on Monday

Ok got a call for the dealer today and they told me that it was the shock mount it was dry and need to be greased and the noise would come back in a few weeks.

If it's a clicking noise, then it's the CV.  And no, a new bike shouldn't do that.  If it's kinda squeaking, then it's a bushing that's dry.

I would question what they told you. What do you mean it goes up & down? Up & down at the wheel or at the diff?

I mean you can grab the axle and move it up and down about 1/8 inch and move it in and out.

You're supposed to be able to move it in and out.  That allows for wheel travel.  But being able to move it up and down, and having a clicking noise, that tells me it's a CV joint going bad.  If you have a different dealer nearby, I'd recommend taking it to them.  Sounds like somebody's trying to get out of a warranty claim.
