boss500s picks nice job
http://community.webshots.com/user/blburkl

Transmission Top
1 3" to 2" rubber reducer (Home Depot) off top of tranny
1 long 90, one end has no neck, then
1 piece of 4 1/4" 2 inch PVC to a 2" by 2" rubber union (to aid in removing the carb at a later date. Tip from GWC), then
1 piece of 4 1/2" long 2" PVC to a 45, then
1 piece of 2" long 2" PVC to another 45, then
1 piece of 5 1/2" long 2" PVC to short 90, then
Run straight up to desired height.

Transmission Bottom
Factory rubber boot to a 3" to 2" rubber reducer (Home Depot) off bottom of tranny. Used thin wall sewer drain 3" as the connector between the factory boot and reducer, then
2" long 2" PVC to long 90, then
1 3/4" long 2" PVC to short 90, then
3" long 2" PVC to long 90, then
1 1/2" long 2" PVC to a short 90, then
Run up to desired height

Engine
Factory rubber turn upside down and insert 1 long 90 with no neck into end, then
Run up to desired location.

Other Tips
Trimmed my plastic to make sure there was enough room to run up all pipes.
Used lots of zip ties (best invention onthe world)
Didn't get in a hurry and test fitted many times before I glued it together.
Bottom tranny will install as one piece, so no need to worry if you nee to remove it after gluing it together.
Might should consider treaded unions as the last piece so you can change out different snorkel heights.
Have to cut one bracket to make the engine snorkel fit.
Bent brake line bracket back to make everything fit easier.

this is the air intake. you must remove the box over the radiator. you must flip the rubber hose coming from the air box.

sometimes one the H1 you'll get lucky and not have to. what i did was snorkel first and see if i had to jet it. i went ahead and jetted mine after and got noticable gains over stock. you can always put a 1 1/2 reducer at the mouth of the snorkel to restrick air flow if it runs poorly (until you jet it.)

But it would be better to put a Y on the intake and bring 2 PVC pipes out the front and put a 90 facing the back. but 2 pipes r better then one right...... more air the better, when u jet and pipe it...

tried my hand at snorkeling my 700. don't think i'm too good at this stuff. hardest part was on the rear tranny. i ran mine to the left side with 2" pipe and then up and across the motor(where i crossed the motor i used some exhaust flex pipe to the pvc and siliconed it and clamped) not real sure this is how i should have done it. i also put threaded unions on so i could take my snorkels off and they would be below the plastic. only kink i'm trying to work out now is how to get the air intake below the plastic with a union but keep them in-line instead of the pyramid shape i've seen.

The reason they are doing the pyramid shape is to keep from cutting the plastic.  When you do the pyramid all you have to do is remove the center black piece that is in front of the pod.

Yep this is so true.. My only hang up is my air intake now hits the peice of the rack that goes across.. I have to study it more today and see what i'm going to do.... Other then that it turned out perferct.

Well yall, i took off all of my front plastics today on the H1, and inspected how everything was gonna fit and work, ive got all my fittings i need except for three black abs short 90s, and a piece of 3" thin wall sewer drain which i have ordered, and they'll be in around wed. I dont have my rad. relocated and me and my dad were puzzled at how we were gonna get three 2" pvc fittings to come up through the opening, without having a different radiator hose or maybe a longer one, because when we flipped the stock rubber hose coming off the air box, and then ran a long 90 off it straight up the radiator hose is right in the way, u can bend it down, but it puts it in too much  of a bind where it wouldnt flow good. We also cut the small bracket that the old crap "over the radiator" air box sits on to get more room. Maybe im missing something, someone help me out, some close up pictures of it finished with no front plastics would help. Thanks yall!

hey adamb390 i had the same problem what you need to do is go to a parts store and get a 90* 7/8 hose. then you need a 1/2" flat bar about 2" long (you need two of these) this will be used to move the top of the radiator foward so that the 90* hose will fit properly. i will try and get pics up in the morning. i hope this will help. if you do alot of deep mud you will want to put the radiator on the racks. im wishing i done mine the same time i done the snorkels. hope this helps

My rad is still in place from the factory and i plan on leaving it there. What i did was took the top 2-bolts out of the rad and t pushed it foward another inch witch is what i needed. And as for flipping the hose around i did not do that. What i did was came out of the air intake hose (factory) with a small peice of 2" about 3" long then i have it going to a small 2" vent 90 (lowes sells them not home depot) then a small peice of 2" to another vent 90 and it puts it strait up. Hope this helps you guys as well.

Well DJ i have called all the auto parts stores around and none have the 90 degree 7/8" hose, only one place did but it was just a 90 and didnt have a long hose, is there a way to connect them? Im lost here now, i want all of this to look good and fit right without having to chop on much of my bike.I think i c what ur saying mudded prairie, the hose that connects to the airfilter box that everyone flips, u just left it in the stock location, and ran 90s off of it over the radiator hose, right? When u unbolted ur radiator and moved it an inch forward, so u could get enough room, and then when u bolted it back how did u have enough room then? I have one more question mudded prairie, if i run it like u say when i get both belt snorkels done r all the necks gonna be beside each other flush? or r they supposed to be when u do it like everyone else? Im getting discouraged, about snorkeling this bike, lol.

yeah the 90* was only about a foot long so you need to go to lowes or home depot an get a 1" brass barbed fitting and slice the stock and the new piece together.

If you have a camra phone i can send you the pic's i too with it... Let me know. I like some did not want to move my rad.... I feel when i'm done mine will look very good...  Ok yall, tell me if u think this will work. I can't find a place that has a 90* 7/8 hose, and i was looking at the stock bottom radiator to bottom of engine radiator hose and its has a perfect 90* with a pretty good bit of hose to run to the engine, if its not enough, i could always splice a piece off the top rad. hose . If i bought the bottom rad. to bottom of engine hose and cut it off at the 90* and then when i attached it to the radiator it would 90 straight down then i could run it under my stock rubber boot and long 90* so i would then have enough room, if i didnt because it was still barely in the way i could unbolt my radiator and slot the bolt holes a tiny bit so i could slide the rad. a small bit forward and that would give me enough room, right? I may try this , im gonna call and c how much a stock hose will be tomorrow, if anyone knows where to order this 7/8 black rad. hose with a 90* online send me a PM. Do yall think this will work, this will be so i can run the stock rubber air boot upside down under everything like it shows in the picture above, which is really the way i wanna do it, no offense mudded prairie.
