I dont think this is a repost. Does anybody on here drive semi's? Full or part time? I drive them for work to haul pre-fab portions of boiler housings and rig sections. We build the trailers ourselves at work. They are custom 60ton trailers. The trucks are kenworths with a CAT under the hood puttin out about 1,300 HP. I finally got my CDL and got my class 9 endorsement for work (must have to pull trailers over 40ft).

The company asked our mechanics what it would take to handle the amount of weight we needed to pull and our supervisor gave the mechanics the go ahead to get the the trucks setup right

I drive for colossus freight on trukz.com   yeah I know its only a game. However since I became disabled with heart issues the docs dont want me driving the truck I used to. A tri axle dump with a 30ft beaver tail for a paving co. Nothing compared to what you drive tho....

Im not sure if they are c15's or not. I know they have a 14" diameter turbo on both sides. I just load the trailer and drive the truck. I didnt give em the power

These motors have tons of work done to them man. Those 14" turbos help alot. I know that we have had those trailers loaded with about 60 tons and the trucks had no problems pullin it

the twin turbo acert c-15 is only rated at 475 or at least the past few trucks i drove where 475.i have seen some of the acerts at over 1200 hp but man thats alot of money to spend especially for several trucks. i drive for pilgrams pride. i haul chicken guts and feathers. the trucks at pilgrams have all got small engines though and they are governed at 60 or at least at the plant i work at they are.

I work for Nucor steel and they have no problem spending money to get the job done. I was told they were about 1,300hp and I have no reason to doubt it. You can pull off in 3rd gear and it will still snatch the front tire up off the ground

not the new ones just released not to long ago are rated for 625 and its the biggest most powerful engine ever offered in a production truck reason i know this is we own a trucking company and usually get a new truck every month so i try and keep up with the newest best things

i dont know anything about these new ones with all the smog stuff on them.i know the new ones pull really well.what is a class 9 endorsement? i have never heard of that before and i pull trailers longer than 40 ft. long .i have a regular class a cdl with doubles, triples and tanker endorsement. i guess the classification of the endorsement could be different from state to state though. i guess in the end they are all just a cdl. i'm not saying anyone is wrong or anything i just want to know.

A class 9 endorsement is just something you get from Nucor. The require you to take their own personal test for them to let you pull trailers for them. They wont let just anybody drive a truck with over 50tons of pre-fab steel on it.
