Well I'm looking to buy a new quad soon and was looking at the King 750 and the Arctic Cat 700 but like the Grizzlys to. How do ya'll like yours Grizzlys? Have ya'll had any problems with them, do they have any known problems? How would they be for trail riding, some mud, dirt roads, and hills? How many miles do ya'll have on them? Have they been reliable for ya'll? And how would you rate their durability to others? Which one of these three would be the most reliable machine?

thanks alot

Oh and hows the power steering holding up? And hows the Diffs, seals, and bearings in these models?

I love my 700,it works awesome.I have had no problems as of yet,but I only have 950 kms on it.It is a great machine for everything you stated and more.It is one of the lightest bigbores out there, with good ground clearance and great reliability. It is also sealed well from water.Yamaha has the most reliable belt system on a wheeler today in my opinion.I have had 4 Yamahas, and had good luck with them all.I chose the Griz, but if that wasn't an option,I would get the King.Good luck with your choice.

167 miles. Love it. Once CV boot but a stick got caught when trying to pull someone out for 4 hours. Great quad, great power, love the ride, awsome machine!

Dont they have a oil dipstick kinda like a car instead of a screw in the case type? If so how does that hold up?

I enjoy mine. I have the eps and it seems to be holding up good. I have rolled it down a 30 foot hill and didnt break anything..besides my pride. yes, it does have the oil dipstick like a car. I havent had any problems with it leaking water into it. It seals up pretty good. Ive done some serious trail riding and mudding and it does everything really well. Im very impressed with how the eps works and how well the grizzly  holds up.

I have broke some axles, but i have had 29.5s since the day i bought it and it now has 1400 miles on it of pure hel! it is twice the machine as the 660 and def. way better far as durability over any other big bore quad out there it may not be as powerful, but way more durable and i had 31x11s all way round and it turned them good so y would u need more power unless u run it in the pitts!!!

I've got about 1300 miles on mine so far w no problems to speak of.  The brake light switches on the handlebars are a little cheesy.  They go out about every 500 miles for me, but they're only about $6 apiece.

The KQ is sub-par design to me.  The build quality is there, but the engineering isn't even with Yami IMO.  They had reverse gear issues, and are geared higher.

I had an AC500m.  It's the same chassis of their entire current lineup.  Some of the new models are 'ride-in' which means they have softer shocks and a lower seat (not very significant, but AC uses it as a marketing tool....).  They're sub-par by a mile in engineering, build quality/manufacture, and everything else except marketing to the mud riding crowd.  I tore the dif mounts loose on the frame and grenaded the front driveline at about 1100 miles w 28" swamp lites.  Many others have done the same.  The 500s and 650s are plagued with bevel gear issues.  The 650 V2s and some 500s had frame breakage issues---major ones.  The powdercoating on mine flaked off in several places and the wire routing was poor.  If you want a straight line pit dominater that you don't mind working on, it's a beast, but it just doesn't compare to the king and the grizz IMO.

A torn boot is all i've had also.  I've been running the Mudzilla's for 600 miles now with no problems other than the boot.  1400 miles total.  I spend most of my time in the water and haven't had any issues with the dipstick leaking.

i sold mine to my sister in law when i bought my rhino. it hads right at 1600 miles on it. before i gave it to her i took it in and had the gas guage fixed, the brake light switch replaced, and they replaced the front left outer cv joint. i tore a boot when i first got it and i guess i didnt get all the dirt out and after time it started popping a little. they fixed all that under warranty and that is the only time i have had to do anything to it at all other than brakes. and i ran 29.5 outlaws on it most of the time i had it. even took it to the nationals last year.

Everyone I know that has one is very pleased.  If I was getting a new bike, it would be a Grizz 700 for sure - but you are also in the Yamaha forum.  I don't think you'll get any negative comments over here ;)

I own both a 06 KQ 700, and an 07 Grizz 700. I like the grizz better. But I like to mud. I found the KQ had too little GC and i was getting high centered alot in ruts. So the extra 1.5" of GC stock on the grizz helps. The KQ has more power no doubt. But the grizz can get ya there. The KQ handled better once a castor mod was done, but thats due to lower center of gravity. The Stock snorkels on the Grizz are the best out there. Nothing is snorkeled better stock IMO. The grizz has better rad protection than the KQ, and is much easier to snorkel out, with less maintanence. Both clutches are really good, a little easier to mod the KQ clutch.

They are both good bikes. Both bikes have held up well. The KQ took a pile of abuse, but didnt like the 3" lift. Broke all my axles outer joints in about 6 rides on the XPATV lift.

If you plan on mudding, but dont plan on going with a big lift (6 or 8") id suggest the grizz over the king from my experience. For fast trails id take the KQ.

How many people have had the boiling gas issue? It seems to only be on a few am I correct? From what I can find that seems to be the only flaw with the Grizz.

i love my 700 to. no problems to speak of except i broke a front cv joint in a mud hole awhile back . warranty didnt cover it and cost 523$ to fix by a shop. other than that exceptional bike plenty of power and very all around universal.
