I saw a new Sportsman 800 at the dealer today and noticed it had 800 HO on the sticker.  I also noticed in the Youtube video where they are talking about the 09 RZR Sport they call it a HO motor and say it's putting out 55 hp.

Is anything different from 08 or are they just marketing different?

they got more HP out of the 800 in 08 compared to 07.  Not just a marketing ploy.

Yes the 08 models have more power and they also are factory clutched to turn bigger tires compared to previous years.

Well when I went to the dealer to buy my 07 I drove both the 07 and 08 and could not telll any difference at all and the book did no denote any difference between the two except for dual exhaust which is not going to produce 8% more power alone

The 08 800 HO has a different cam, head(s) and a few other components. It isn't just a sticker. Look at the parts breakdown and you will see the parts that do not interchange between the HO and non-HO. Also not all 08 800's are HO,matter fact for some reason they didn't put them in the X2 or Touring as far as I can tell.
