i found a 79 cj5 with gm running gears it needs a chevorlet 350 it has 39.5 swampers they want 900$ for it good deal or not

Check the frame over well for rust.

If you are positive that the frame has no rust, and the rest of the drivetrain is in good shape then it would be a good deal. The CJ-5 frames have always rusted pretty bad, check it over also for repaired frame sections and if so make sure it was done right and not hacked together. The mounting points on the body tub also rusted out on a regular basis make sure they are decent.
