Ne that isn't right, either your way to lean on fuel or your muffler is plugged. Bring back to dealer before you do to much damage to the engine. On kodiak sounds like you need to break out the welder.

Ive had mine for a year now and its never glowed orange. I would take it back to the dealer before they try to tell you its your fault. I would have them replace the entire 4wheeler.

i just went through this on my rhino. called yamaha and they said it is normal if you are running it at higher speeds. it still scares me but they say it is ok. talked to several others who say the same thing. i never noticed it on my grizzly but they say they  all do it. after you get some mud caked on the exhuast you wont notice it.

I use to work at a Yamaha dealer in shreveport part time ( I am in the Airforce) that is normal. You will notice it at night mostly. The stainless steel header yamaha uses are real thin so if you are riding with a heavy thumb at night you will see it glow. We had people come in all the time telling us this and few believed us, but it is normal.

Ive never noticed it on my grizz but on the yamaha 250f's that i had they would always glow orange at night but then agian they all had stuff done to 'em, and the turned like 13,500 rpm. So i would say you should be alright.

Yup, normal.  They all do it, just some people have not noticed it.  Mine no longer does it as it does not run as hot and there is scale biuld up on the header.  This keeps the heat in rather then letting it out.
