650 h1 locker acting crazy

when i hit the button on the handle bars to go to 4 wheel drive, the "4WD" icon comes on like normal. then when i flip the lever to lock the front diff, the word "lock" appears as it should. when i take off the word LOCK flashes off and on.when i stop it quits flashing. has any of yall had this happen ? do i need to adjust the cable or do i got dirt,mud or what ever in the actuator that needs to be cleaned out? whats the fix for this. thanks

Have you had your front axles out recently, I was putting mine back together one time and put the front axles in the wrong sides. One side has a gear on it for the front posi and if you switch them it doesn't work and acts wierd.

nope have no had the axles out at all. i just noticed this yesterday. could have been doing it for sometime and just didnt catch it. i think it may be a sensor or cable adjustment issue.

Sounds like yur cable has stretched some and needs adjusted, its just not making good contact on the ground in the diff that triggers the locker light to come on. when you adjust the cable it will make a better ground and the light will stay on.
