Can you buy just the new air tube...???  if so you got a place to get it...???

list looks good, but i have been told to go ahead and get the TM 100% removed, i hate it with a passion and thats what iam doing. crap i allmost got hit the other day pulled out in front of a car and floored it (would of had plenty of time normally) and it took off like i was just giving it about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle lol  its crazy how bad it is on my truck.. going to WOT on my truck is point less as it does nothing.

I have also heard the TB spacers do nothing on our motors as well, guys have put them on the dynos with no change in anything after installing them.

my TM isnt near as bad as yours, when I stomp it , it goes but with just enough hesitation to keep the tires from spinning much.

I THINK the air tube can be gotten at 4wheelparts or jegs.
or performancetruckproducts or something.

TM doesn't seem as bad on the 99-02 trucks as it is on the 03+ trucks. I'd go with the Pacesetter headers and don't waste your money on the TB spacer.

Look up the throttle body bypass mod if you haven't done it already, it's simple and free. I wouldn't spend $100 on that Airraid tube, I'd personally just cut the silener off of the intake tube and cover the hole with something (I have used duct tape on 2 trucks and it's held up fine, but I'm sure there is something better to use).

I can't really think of any other cheap or free mods, you've got most of them covered.

thanks, I know about the TB bypass but it just doesnt seem real good even though I dont live where its very cold.

I was thinking about descreening the MAF since its a free mod but I dont wanna take a chance at hitting a wire.

I guess I never knew that extra peice on the intake tube was a silencer, Ill saw it off.  and seal it with aluminum foil and tape or something.  for that extra BLING.  lol

once you tune it, should definitely see a big difference...
the 99 had like 265 hp
00-02 285 hp
03-06 295
06 optional aluminum block 310 hp

I THINK thats close... lol

custom tune, have to ask to remove either a percentage of it or all of it.  if you remove all, transmission upgrades are needed.  (billet / vette servo)

If you remove all TM and do not do anything to beef up the transmission, at least add more line pressure.

GWC, the TB bypass takes less than 5 mins to do. Remove your intake tube from the TB, on the front bottom of the TB you'll see a hose going to it, and a hose going out of it on the drivers side. This is there to heat up the air going into the throttle body to prevent it from freezing in REALLY cold climates.

The hose coming out of it on the drivers side runs to the block (I think? It may runs somewhere else, it isn't very long). Remove that hose, you won't need it. Now, take the other hose and run it to the block (or where ever it goes). This hose is quite a bit longer and should reach, you may have to re-route it though. You should not have any hoses going into the throttle body now.

Sorry if that is confusing lol, you can also disconnect the hoses from the TB and connect them together with a barbed union, that is a little easier to explain.

Who knows if this mod even helps any, you probably won't notice it with the seat of the pants meter, but why not have your air as cool as possible?

It's not hard to do at all. There is not much of a chance of hitting the wires if you're careful. If you mess it up I got one I bought to port and put on my 02 2wd when I had it, but I never did anything with it. It's just laying around. If you mess yours up descreening it you can have this one

Also, from what I've ben told, don't waste your money on the shorty headers. Mid length or full length are the way to go.

Now that Im driving my Sierra everyday Im wanting to make it quicker and more fuel efficient.
truck is a 2000 Sierra 5.3 / 3.73's, ECSB

here's what Im planning:
1.  custom tune, 93 oct  (I know a guy that will tune)... remove 75% of TM change shift pts.
2. billet servo / vette servo to hold the added power/abuse
3. swiss airbox w/drill bit for added airflow, like CAI.
4. replace restrictive intake hose w/ Airraid one.
5. gut / remove cats, turn rear O2 sensors off.
6. Pacesetter / Summit LT headers.
7. smooth-bore TB spacer...?

1.  Tuning is goin to be the most bang for the buck.

2. Vette Servo is a easy cheap mod like i was telling you earlier

3. IF you go mud riding/splashing through alot of water i would leave the airbox alone. If not i would cut the front and/or bottom out of it.

4. I found the Airraid one for cheap, or you can chop off the silencer and wrap it in something. Or make a Tube out of PVC and put Header Wrap on it to make it look clean?

5. If you plan on headers i would leave the cats alone. You can get some good money for them right now. or sell it to off set the modding

6. Pacesetter LT headers are pretty popular and free up some power. Not sure on what you like but i would put a long magnaflow on there to keep it quiet and give it a good tone.

7. TB Spacer with Nitrous ports.. :)

8. NGK TR55s with new Plug wires along with a new fuel filter if it hasnt been changed in awhile. They are all cheap.

Hope that helps.

Hey, just so you know, i wouldn't waste my money on the tb spacer.....  It doesn't so anything for the 5.3's.......  the only engines it helps are the ones that inject fuel before the intake manifold......  the whole point of haveing a tb spacer is to give the air fuel mixture a longet time to mix, hence the reason for the swirls cut in most that you see.  before I had my low 13 second lifted duramax i had a lifted 04 Z71 that would walk all over people at the strip....  13 second truck thanks to a lot of mods, tuning and a 150 horse wet shot of nitrous.

Throttle body spacers are the BOMB!!
mine gave me a gain of 50 rwhp...

Nonnie you are killing me with all of the TB spacer talk.  Not everyone has a "special" spacer like yours.  I guess I have a "special" carb spacer huh?

50 rwhp?  I seriously doubt that.......  My truck even with the nitrous only dynoed at 345 rwhp and 410 ft/lb of torque.......  You can't go by the seat of your pants dyno....... lol  And since we're posting pics........

Haha most people never catch that...

we have a local 500' track.. (dont ask why its not 660' (1/8th mile))
Just boost it ran a 7.9@71 with a 2.3 60'  pretty much off idle..
Sprayed the 50 shot and it ran a 7.0@80 with a 2.0 60'  :)

Now with the hydroboost brakes and getting a boosted launch i hope to see a high 6..

My truck is nothing special but it runs MUCH better after the tuning and reduced size tires, I can lay a decent strip of rubber on DRY pavement where before the tune it might chirp the rears if I was lucky.
