Hey i just got a 450 foreman and i need to know what size tubing everyone is useing to go into the airbox?  When i took the factory snorkel to lowes the 1 1/2in pvc was bigger than it by like a 1/16 or an 1/8 and I didnt know if that would fit in the stock hole of the airbox.

List of stuff to buy:
2 45 deg. 2in. PVC elbows
2 90 deg. 2in. PVC elbows
3 threaded 2in couplers
1 2in to 1 1/2 PVC reducer
2 22.5 deg. 1 1/2in. PVC elbows
1 1 1/4 to 1 1/2in. PVC reducer
2in. PVC pipe at least 6ft in length
1 1/2in. PVC 3or4 ft. long
1 1/4in. PVC 3or4 ft. long

You are on your own as far as a mounting bracket goes. Mine is a flat aluminum plate 4x6, with an aluminum threaded pipe welded in the middle of it, at an angle. There are also 2 ubolts that fasten it to the racks.

Start out by taking the 90d elbow, and cut about 3inches of 2in pipe and connect the 90 and the 45. Just dry fit it, at this point. (Do not glue yet).

Next cut another 3in piece of 2in pipe and connect the other 45d. If you look at the pics, I am sure you will see what Aim talking about.

Next you will connect the 1 1/2 to 2in reducer to the 90d elbow. Now cut approx 13in. of 1 1/2in pipe and connect it to the reducer.

Next you will slide the rubber coupler on to the end of the 13in. pipe.

Next cut about 10 1/2inches of 1 1/2in pipe. Now connect one of the 22.5in elbows to one end of the 10.5in pipe. Now cut approx. 2 1/4in of 1.5 pipe and connect it to the other side of the 22.5 elbow. Now connect the other 22.5 elbow to the 2 1/4 pipe. Make sure you look at the pic to see how the bend is.

Next you will connect the 1 1/4 to 1 1/2in reducer to the 22.5 elbow. Now cut approx 5 3/4in of 1 1/4in pipe. This will give you a complete snorkel from under the fender to the air box.

Now you will need to decide how you will come through the fender and how you will secure it to your racks. You will have to trim some fender off to get it to the air box as well as some mud flap. Reference the pictures below on where the snorkel goes through the fender. As far as rejetting goes, I didn’t have to. The instructions that come with the kit this one duplicates said to move the clip on the carb needle down to the first slot. They provided another small washer just like the one that is already on the needle. And it said to put both washers under the clip
.
I know this sounds like a lot, but in reality it took me about 2 or 3 hours to build. Oh by the way.....all measurements that given were approximates, so double check your own measurements. It will more than likely take you awhile to get the 90 and 45's lined up just right to miss the shocks, so take your time, also the 22.5 elbows have to be just right, so pay close attention there also.

used 1 1/4 in coming out of the box, then went up to 1 1/2 in, then 2 in.
