Hey guys i just came back over to the honda side, i bought a 2000 450s an was lookin at doin the 300 gear reduction on it since this seems to be an easy n inexpensive way to do it. would i need a clutch puller or any other special tools to do it. Any tips would be appreicated.

You will need to get the primary (centrifugal) clutch pulled one way or another.  Outside of that one operation, there are no special tools required, other than the torque wrenches, which should be considered required equipment...

just get a 6" three jaw puller from the parts store, it works just a well as the clutch puller
