Since all three clutches in there are friction clutches, I'm assuming that you're talking about the change clutch, the one with the disks and basket? You'll find it hard to go wrong there, unlike a manual clutch machine, these are like a light switch, in or out. If you've had a problem with premature wear, it's more likely the adjustment or the pressure plate springs than the quality of the disks. The clutch kit will delay the engagement of the engine to the transmission. It will be to a level not acceptable for a new Honda, however it will be comperable to many other manufacturers OEM configuration with autoclutch machines. If you don't need it, it's annoying as all getup. If you do need it, it's sort of "balanced" by the larger tires, and after a ride or two you don't even notice that it's there. Now the clutch kit AND the gear reduction...? Well, I thought long and hard about that, and figured that with the lower gears starting would be more like what Honda envisioned with the OEM design, rendering the clutch kit annoying, kind of like it is with stock sized tires. Therefore like an idiot I decided to do the opposite just to see what happened. It's quite rideable, I'm not loosing any sleep over it, but if I don't find an excuse to go into that cover for something else soon, I'll be going in just to replace the clutch kit with the factory springs, as the delayed engagement is no longer needed.
