which tire is better in mud and which one is better in water.  Been trying to trade my 28 laws for mudlites but not having any luck.  Just wondering how the swamplite compared to mudlite. Thinking bout trying to find some swamplites since i am not having any luck on the mudlites.
Thanks

MY opinion, swaplites dont clean out very good in mud, I would get mudlights they seem to work better and clean out better.

I would have to disagree I have swamplites on my rhino and a buddy of mine has mudlites on his rhino and did a comparison between the two and the swamplites were superior in the mud but in the sand and on the trail they were about equal.

Have you thought about going 29.5 Outlaws? I think you would be happier with 29.5 over the Swaplites and Mudlites

I agree with that statement and it is weird because looking at the lug pattern on the Swamp Lites you would think they dont clean very well but nothing has been further from the truth . I took my KQ and ran it through all the same places around my house I had been running the Mudlites through and the Swamp Lites performed much better than the mudlites did. There is something to ponder though, we all live in different regions and the term "mud"  is defined different everywhere.

I am trying to get rid of my 28 laws because i ride mostly trails and i broke an axle in reverse and it was not cause i have a heavy thumb.  I just wanted to gain a little ground clearance by going bigger but less aggresive so i wont be out to break stuff so easy.

imo, i would go with the 30 ML. they have a 1.3inch lug if im not mistaken and you wont have to give up much in weight with the ML. if your worried about strain on your bike witch im thinking you are since you mentioned breaking an axle with your laws i would strongly consider the lighest of the two since your going up so much in size... just my thoughts

thanks i had 28 mudlites on my 500 arctic cat and rode it pretty hard but never broke anything. What is the weight difference in the 29.5 sl and the 30ml?

Well if you ride any deep water the mudlites are not the tires to get, IMOP mudlites and Swamplites are to close to call in mud, i have had both ride with a guy that has 29.5 SL and i have 30" MLs and are tires are to close to realy say one is better then the other in mud neither are great mud tires but with some work both will get you threw.
I bought mudlites because they are very light and work well in sand, swamplites are heavy and dont work well in sand at all. both climb good ride nice .

he's right THEY SUCK OUT LOUD IN SAND had some wally world tires on a 160 that would do better lol

but SL's will air up to 31in or at least mine did but around here we try to float so we genrally run more air pressure...

I would also have to disagree with the sand issue ...I ride the creek a pretty good bit and have no problem in the sand I mostly stay in 2wd while others keep locked in 4wd so that they dont just sit there and dig and go no where...now I dont know if this is due to the rhino's weight playing a factor in it or not but thats my personal experience

Ok i mean dry sand, did not mean wet sand there is a big difference as wet sand clumps together to help it be more "like" mud. in dry sand like at the "dunes" they suck bad...lol
