Weight isn't the only thing to consider, the 29.5s will be harder to spin even if they aer the same weight. A freind of mine has a 08 BB400 and it will bog to a stop in thick mud with 26" Mudlites, but his is all stock, you may fare better then him but imo the 27s will prob work better.
