The king is such a GREAT bike I dont think we need either one!!! V twins just cost more to fix! And we have already proved our single cylinder can smoke most V twins!!!

man i gotta be honest, i'm a zuki owner, and no where near brand loyal...........and that's a BOLD statement given the facts of power to weight ratio are on the low side.  plus the fact that even stock for stock 750 KQ vs. 750 Brute, the king will not win.......given that the drivers are of equil talent on the strip and similar in weight.

i do like the KQ's, comfort, and power, but not the MOST powerful nor the fastest.  at one time the KQ and the Brute were $300 difference in price.........you can't bolt on $300 to a KQ to equel the power of the brute.  if you were comparing single cyl 700+ quads that would be a different story........

i'm not trying to start a pizzing match, it's just some known info.

i under stand the rebuild part of it, obviously you have 2 of things to get.............

i look at it this way, if you have a desire for nothing but power, go for a 750, 800, 850, 950 V-TWIN........for great power great ride, go for the King!!  no offense to the King guys, but mud nats was a proving ground to me, if the king was a power house contender it would have been right up there with the brutes and the can-ams, and T-cats............we did get a couple on video, and yes they did hold their own!  but the classes were swamped with CAT's, CAN's, and BRUTES!

don't get me wrong when it comes time to upgrade i'll take a look into the king, and all the rest of the 700+cc crew.  maybe by then when they have a V-twin, it will come down to the pocket book at that point!!

my kingquad had so much power with the vdi and pipe and clutch kit, i could smoke any quad except the can am's and i dont know about brutes never raced one, my king topped out at about 114 with 27 inch tires so the spedo was out about 10km.

I have to agree the king's ride blow's pretty hard . Steering is a nightmare , seat sucks . Pretty much a **** in the power department . In my opinion by something else..

what's your dyno numbers at the wheels??  when you post your results it will be intersting to compare to a can am, or brute with just a pipe!!

huh, the King our friend had was alot better than our other friends brute.  did they change the suspension up between 08 and 09??  i felt compared to the brute it had a MUCH better ride to it.

hhhmmmm, ok i'm gonna say you're WAY off since a canned ham with a pipe will put down 47 HP at the wheels, and a brute with a pipe will put 45 with ease.  mind you these are on the low side, people have gained more in some cases especialy when you add a filter and snorkel set up.  this is AT THE WHEELS, not crank HP!

heres a vid of a renegade 800 with 45.5 at the wheels.............hhmmm 60ho out of your king..........might want to get it dyno'd to double check your numbers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASWsmWRffKk

that's like saying my vinson (stock) has 32HP, now with a pipe (HMF claims 9hp gain), i now have 41, plus the filter (about 3), i now have 44hp, then the snorkel is at least worth 1, so now i have 45hp...........kinda hard to back that up when a renegade puts 45.5 on the dyno...........

Woa ! 60hp at the rear weels no way , no how , i dont care what you do it.
I own an 05 that will barely pull itself around . They should have put P.O.S instead of I.R.S . ( IMO )

oh sorry guess that was just a ballpark guess i got a hp sheet of anouther forum and here are a few

kingquad 700- 48hp
kingquad 750- 49hp
brute  750    - 51hp
can am 800   -62hp

these are stock

im not to sure if these are correct its just what i have been goin from.

and i bought a grizz for the ride and a couple other reasons....im hoping to get alot of horsepower out of it with some raptor injecters, vdi, pipe, biggun efi controller etc...and  im not putting a lift on my king so it rides better, i

like my quads low and wide! when i get my grizz all done up ill go dyno it.

and im on this suzuki forum becuase i had a kingquad and it was a pretty sweet machine.

sorry for the confusion guys....

THESE ARE ALSO CRANK HP!!  we need to clear that up.

stock for stock, the renegade in the vid above lost 17hp in drive train.  factor that into the king your at 32RWHP stock.........factor in pipe (est 10hp at crank), filter (3hp), and snorkels programmer ect...."MAYBE" 65hp at the crank (at the most), your probably estimated at 45-48RWHP.

i can give you a comparison on a vinson (32hp @ crank), add filter, pipe, snorkel, jet kit, ect.... you're looking at 45 crank, and there were some guys on here before with dyno'd results of 30RWHP on their vinny's, that's still a 15hp loss threw the drive train..........

Sure enough! My bud (matprice) has 29.5 laws, fully snorked, dalton ck, HMF utility(VERY LOUD) LOL! & Xtreme racing tuned PC3 & claims 61 rwp! My 750 King= VDI, M109R injector, epi yellow spring, 18 gram weights, & 2mm shim mod, with 27" Swamp Fox Plus. We lined up sideXside(hi range), he gave the count I pulled perty hard off the line, he never even got close! Race # 2 Him in lo range & me still in hi = The count was a lil jacked up, he jumps & I do right behind him at about the 300 ft mark I'm less than .5 behind him! (Also to his defense, his bike has been running better since we tore into his clutch, greased his 1 way bearing & cleaned out his cvt comp.) We've ran a few times since then & whoever gets the hole shot wins, PERIOD!! I'm gonna run my neighbors stock Brute shortly & will let yall know how that turns out!  My pipe (Yoshi) & filter(Twin air) are gonna be on it for our next races, so stay tuned!  Later          Brandon

First off, your bike being a single you only need/use 1. They require the use of the VDI!! Yes, they give some Awesome gains. Engie said it makes as big a difference as a PC3/pipe combo!  I can't compare to this setup minus the injector, as mine was all done together & haven't ran 1 w/o! I think this is where alot of the white knuckle factor (AKA VDI Grin) comes from LOL! Good luck & hope I answered your ?      Brandon
