why would anybody, even a honda fan overlook that and get the first model that could have serious problems?

Look at all honda first year modles, the have matched or out sold the other companys that have had bikes out for a few years.

I hate to say it....But the new BigRed is absolutely the ugliest SxS I've ever seen.Honda is a good machine but I've seen golf carts look better.

The Big Red is not going to be a verty recreational machine. 64" wide and over 1400lbs, 675cc motor with the Rincons 3 speed trans, it has to of been geared down otherwise it wouldn't move, which will knock the top speed down considerably. Of course its going to live up to what everyone is waiting for. Everyone, including me, is expecting an overpriced, big, heavy, ugly, gutless Honda piece of crap.

I agree with you to a certain extent. The Rhino and Prowler have already proven themselves but the Teryx and RZR have not and I like the Teryx and RZR but I don't think they have proven themselves to be a recognized machine. And as far the big Red goes Do not expect it to be a sporty SxS, I see it as competitor for the Mule and thats about it. A slow moving workhorse for the farm, geared super low and a top speed of less than 30mph.

you obviously have never seen any old mules.

The honda SxS will outsell everything but the mule, thats my prediction. A huge majority of the people who ride atvs dont abuse them like we do, so the hondas of today hold up nearly as good as the ones of yesterday.

Wrong. Rincons motor, and transmission. Three speed auto w/torque converter.

Sorry, I didnt know that true 4wd meant the same as diff lock.
