Wonder if the extra lift would be worth it then.

I like to mud ride throttle in the full open postition.

I have had a 2" pipe lift on my Renegade for more than a year, I raced 2 classes with it, used MRRPM's 1004 cc Big Bore kit, and have ridden WOT alot, and have ever broken an axle. I'm not saying it isn't putting extra wear on the axle, but I still have not had any problems. Most axles that break from lifts are 4" or most often 6" lifts that ran on trails at speed and heat builds up in the boots, which cause failure. No matter what the lift, you still have to use common sence when running aggressive mud tires. Once you get them spinning and they grab something hard like a root or even hard packed dirt under the mud, an axle or something is going to break.
