has anyone runnin 29.5 laws ever had a problem blowin first gear out just wondering.

i ran 29.5s and a gear reduction for about 6 months and i THINK i had chipped a tooth on my first gear, but it still pulled like it should. would i blame it on just the 29.5s and GR...no. i think what gets 1st gear MOST of the time is ppl "dumping" the clutch into first, where u rev the motor up and pop it into gear. i had a bad habit of keepin my rpms up when goin from rev to 1st in the water. i had bad experiences with bikes diein with the exhaust under.

thanks i was just wonderin because ive heard of some blowing first gear out and was deciding weither to go to 29's or 28s when i get a gear reduction

get the 29.5s...u can break first gear with any size tires

i blew mine with 28 laws or might have been 27 mudlites it how your ride just like bump said its going from reverse to first that blows first gear

Yea my buddy blew his 1st gear twice on his 500 but he was running 29.5's and gave it heck everytime we rode and it lasted 500 miles or so that way, I say get them and dont worry about it
