Im getting ready to snorkel my buddy's rzr and was just wondering how many vent lines there are that need to be snorkeled? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

5 vent lines.

1. front diff
2. crankcase
3. transmission
4. transfercase
5. rear diff

some say there is a slit cut into the crankcase vent from the factory, i dont know if that is true, i cant seem to find the slit on mine. you can just tie onto them with some barbed fittings and hose clamps or rerun them from the start.

Thanks birdman for the info. is there anything on the fuel vent line that needs to be done? I read somewhere that some one had got water in there fuel tank through the vent line. Im not sure just dont want to take any chances.

I want to snorkel mine and what do you need to put to seal the lid on the air intake?

in addition to what birdmanf250 said,

on the bottom of the throttle body, there is a vent line with a check valve on it... i kept the check valve inline, but run it up with the rest of them. and like he said, there IS a slit in the crankcase ventline and it WILL suck in water if its not sealed up or the line replaced..

and yes, there is also a vent line for the fuel tank that will take in water also..

So in total, there are 8 things to watch for..

sweet, thanks, i will have to take care of those things. yeah i forgot the fuel tank although i did do mine, sorry. unless i was wrong on one of the five things i said (maybe not one for the transfercase). . . if so sorry again.

for the time being for me to seal up the crankcase line, where is the slit at until i can replace it.

sure enough there is a vent line with a check on it. is that 1/4" line as well?

to seal up the air box lid, use a bead of axle grease all the way around instead of silicone so it will be easier to take off when you need. Dielectric grease all of your electrical connections.
