ive converted my 08 800 reg outlander into an xt model all factory parts nuts and bolts etc. with the exception of a viper max 3500lb winch instead of a warn. i havent had any luck with the previous warns ive owned. but what im wondering is i noticed some wires hanging in the front of the bike in the right side fenderwell that look just like the wires for the handle bar mount winch switch. it is a female and male connector with what looks like a ground wire connected to them. is this what these are for the winch control switch or something else. and if it them im assuming they are already wired for power and all i have to do is hook my switch up to those wires. they are right where the factory xt models winch contactor box is.

Hi, I hope what I give you will be of some help. I looked over the wiring diagram for the 500-650-800 which are identical btw and it looks like there are 2 triple connectors . there is the SWW winch switch connector and the SWRC Remote winch switch.

Both connectors lead to the SW Winch Relay.
The wire color on the connector should be like so:

SWW: GN/BU LT / BU RD / BK
SWRC: GN/BU LT / BU RD / BK all are 18 gauge

They all connect to one way diodes (2) and on to terminal block BK IN OUT on the SW Winch relay
The Motor wires (1) goes to YL trminal on the winch relay and the side (2) wire connects to BU terminal on the relay.

Both connectors are identical as one can be used with a switch on the handlebars and the other with a remote control that connects under the front storage bin.

Wish I had a scanner but even then the diagram is 3 feet by 3 feet. Sorry
