my 750 fi brute is smokin now that this weather is cold and it is only smokin when i first crank it up and rev it up it dont smoke when idlin or dumping rpm's. is it my motor or this cold weather???

most likely just the cold. Plus, if you havent run it in a while... they tend to smoke a tad on start up.

I had a feeeling that it was just the cold because it never done it before and my friends 08 was doin the same thing

Was 17 up here yesterday. Mine smoked for a bit till she warmed up.  Normal to me.

It shouldn't on efi... The air intake temp sensor should adjust the efi to the change. My guess is that kawi just didn't get 100% calibrated on that sensor because it's output is nonlinear!

it the cold i live right across the road from him but mine has been blowin black smoke out when i fire it up but i also have some goodies on it to

but his is a mixed between blue and black smoke

Yea, like he said more black thenblue smoke but, i know that its burnin gas cause i can smell it, but ohwell i got i long warantee

This got mine to wondering about my 08 so I rode for a bit yesterday and it had zero smoke. Its odd that FI would allow this to happen.

i thought that it was odd to for an efi, but  i paid close attention to it to day and it was deff. all black smoke, and it only does it for a little while and only when ever you re v it up
