07 650 h1 runnin hot and stalling

cant quite figure out the problem... the bike runs good for 5 minutes or so. Once it gets hot the fan comes on but it doesn't seem to cool it off. It will run for a minute or so with the fan on then die and has to sit for a while before it will start again. Could this be a water pump/ thermostat issue? Any help will be appreciated

Is your radiator on the rack or in stock location? Do you mud a lot? if you do have you taken it off and washed it? if not do it, it might look clean but most likely it is clogged and not allowing air to pass through the fins and stays overheating.

is the temp light coming on..? seems like it woul dhave to be real hot to die and not fire back up..?
i would do like he said and make sure the radiator is clean, then you might check to see if the coolet is flowing once the fan comes on . it could be the T state sticking..

Are you sure its overheating and not a carb (ie choke, float) issue or a vapour lock in the gas tank? Next time it happens try removing the gas cap.
