Not mine, I have around 45,000 and al is good

bad thing, I am pretty sure you have to buy the whole hub and its like over $300 bucks and cant just replace the bearing..

You get what you pay for when you get a cheapo hub assembly. Been there done that replaced 3 of the cheap ones on my Dakota within 23000mi before I said F this and got a pair of Mopar ones. They cost over double what the cheapos did, but I haven't had another prob in the last 30000mi.

are you sure its not chevy's famous steering knock? It feels like it is something loose under the truck but its really the steering shaft.

Sounds like a bearing to me. As a tech who hates noises and doing the same thing more then once, I highly reccomend getting a factory hub assembly to replace it.

I'm a tech at a Chevy dealer and I have to replace about two or three of those steering shafts a week at work, Chevy has changed the bulliten like 28 times I think now and they have finally come out with a shaft they claim will fix the issue for good. The new shaft has no grease and uses plastic coated splines that supposedly don't need lubrication. I guess I'll see if they will work or not in a couple of months after someone puts some miles on the new ones.
