my brother has a 2005 foreman 500 2wd and he wants to get a 4wd kit can you make hes into a 4wd?

wow, i didnt know there was such a thing as a 2 wheel drive foreman.

the blue ones are. Every blue foreman unless you buy the blue plastic seperate is a 2wd model. Only color they come in i believe..

Ma dad has one also,its blue,with 26" mudlites......I dont have pics on me at this moment,and I dont have the camera,ill get some later....

The 2wds are pretty fun to drive,they can pass quite a bit too.....

they made them in 2005 (colors green, red, blue) and 2006 (colors green, red, yellow). as far as a 4x4 kit i think they call that trading up.

yea they didnt have a 3rd light or display.

NO, I wouldnt suggest to try and make it a 4wd. sell it and start over. much easier that way.

yea you can buy a 4 wheel drive for less than buy a 2 wheel drive and make it 4 wheel drive

my dad just got rid of a green 05 500S 2wd for a green 06 500S 4wd earlier this year.

you could see the front shaft boss capped off on the front left side of the engine, so the internal shaft should be there once you pull the cap out and get a yoke to hook to it. i didn't look to see if all the tabs were welded in the front to hold the differential though. as long as the tabs are there you shouldn't need anything more than the shaft, axles, differential, and switch/wiring. you might need the hubs and brakes too, as i'm not sure if honda made those specific to the 2wd or 4wd versions.

either way though, all that time and money wouldnt be worth it. i would just get rid of it and buy a 4x4

on the 2wd the shaft plug is in the motor because all the casings are the same, there are no internals in there to connect the shaft, so you would have to change motor and all.
