Well my father-in-law has a 05 D-Max and when he got off work the other day and went to put it in reverse it did nothing so he just pulled out and went home. After he got home he went inside and let the truck sit for a little while came back out and started it up put it in reverse and it went right in and has been doin fine ever since. Anybody got any ideas on why it would do this as i am clueless on the inner workings of a auto. And i know if it means that the trans is goin out he doesnt have the money to rebuild it right now.

Ohh yeah the truck is bone stock other than a leveling kit and 295's

NSBU switch. Cheap easy fix. New ones are under 100 bucks. Install isnt too bad. Two connectors 1 nut 2 bolts.

However the top larger connector needs to be heated up to loosen the glue inside so that it will pull out.

Then getting it adjusted is a little tricky have somebody sit in the seat and tell you when it reads right then snug it down.

If you are wondering where it is located, it is on the driver side behind the front driveshaft.
