Im having a problem with my 04 Grizzly 660. I went for a ride with my girl and was not really paying attention. almost drown out the machine in a hole while engaging fourwheel drive. now everytime I try to get into some high RPM's it just sputters and backfires like my reverse overide is on. but the reverse light is not lighting up.  anyone got any ideas? I already cleaned the K&N air filter and reoiled it and changed the spark plug and used Dielectric grease on plug and all connectors.  Please help me as im headed for a ride wed if I can get it going

What is the top speed limited to?  Check to make sure the front differential connections are clean and greased.

you mean the two plugs on the front diff lock CDI? I did those already if that's what you mean and it's limited to about half throttle. than its sputtering and backfiring.

Okay.  How deep was the hole you stalled in?  You may have gotten some water in your carb through the vent lines of they are not snorkeled and such.  Drain the float bowl then see how it runs.

Not snorkled, it was about up to my seat but I kept the front pretty high, I have not cleaned the carb yet think that could be it? I was wondering about perhaps the valves?

Yep.  If nothing is snorkeled then you need to start by draining your float bowl.  Wouldn't hurt to remove the carb and clean it real good to make sure all the junk is out of it.

Turns out the problem was a bad Coil a bad plug cap combined with the rev limiter screwing up. so after grounding that out and replaceing the rest she is ready to rip again
