My son was backing up into a pond to pull a friend out and his exhaust must have gulped some water down and the bike stalled.  At the time he didn't think of it and tried to start it not knowing what happened.  Whenever he pressed the start button it just clicked and nothing happened.   They then had the bright idea to try to push start it (haha) and obviously that didn't work.  They brought it home to me and we lifted the front end and water came out the exhaust.  I ended up changing the oil till the milky look was gone and everything seems to be fine.  Is it possible that something could me drastically wrong with it seeing that they tried to start it??  It seems to run ok.

Don't forget to change the gear oil in the differentials..since he was deep enough to stall the engine, more than likely water has gotten into the front and/or rear differentials.

If you have all the milky opil removed from the engine, and it wasn't ran much like that state, then it should be ok. If the engine was run in that state, then engine damage could have occured.
Only time will tell if anything damaged or prematurely worn.

like dezz said time will tell
only real problem with water only would be rings
if it was muddy then thats a whole nother story
then its time to split cases if it starts smoking

really just watch for smoke and power loss, that will tell you there is ring failure
