I just sold my 07 660 rhino this last week.  We have been pretty happy with it and wasn't really looking to sale it, but someone offered the right price.  Anyway my question is this.  If you had it to do over again which one would you get, 700 or 450?  We are going to check out the rzr just for grins, but this is my wifes ride and she really liked the rhino.  We ride mainly mud and the last one was equipped with a 3" lift and 27 laws.  I will probably be going back with the same setup or something close.  Thanks for any help.

Consider a teryx..its alittle wider, better shocks, alot more power, about 300$ a stock 08 teryx can go 70 mph...test drive one and see what you think...also some 2008 closeouts can be had for less than 8000$ OTD

ya (dbmachine) is right the teryx is fast and has alot of power but, the belt burns up fast just like a brute, and you have to take all the brackets off where the gas tank is and the gas tank to change the belt!  i have two friends that have them they are about a year old and one of them is on his 5th belt and the other the 3rd and they only have 27 laws on them!

i would go with the 450 rhino they are not as fast as the 660 or 700 but when you talk about the mud they have more lowend than the 660, 700, or even the teryx, the low end on the 450 is one of the best in my opinion

i have had my 450 for 2 years now and i do some heavy mudding with snorkels on it and i have not had to change a belt yet

talked to some kawasaki clutch gurus on other forums and the most important step to maintain good belt life is to have the teryx belt adjusted around the first 10-20 hour mark. Also they said any aggressive tires like backs or laws a clutch kit is a must to keep a tight grip on the belt from slipping. I guess its just the way you ride and treat your machine. For trail riding and cruising dirtroads, the stock clutch setup is fine as long as you perform the highly important belt service around the 10-20 hour mark. If you plan on adding huge aggressive tires straight from the dealership your asking for trouble without a clutch kit and proper break in time. Agreed the rhino belt system is a millions time better and requires virtually no maintenace but i like the power of the teryx.
